生命教育係探索與認識生命的意義，協助個人「全人」的發展，建構以愛、關懷、道德為生命的核心基底，從而發展出與自己的和諧悅納，以及與他人、與社會、與自然界的共存共榮，並探討終極關的議題，以引導生命正向光明發展，從而提升到與宇宙關係的美善境界。

學生於課程中學習：
1. 如何使用適合傳遞生命教育的兒童圖畫書，不須以說教的方式來教導孩子，甚至自己再閱讀時也能受到感動與啟發。
2. 利用繪本為主軸，發展相關活動，幫助孩子深刻體認故事所傳達的理念。
3. 如何透過多元的生命科學活動以及討論與引導，幫助孩子親身經歷，了解生命的始末、尊重與責任。
