本課程之主要目的在因應｢技術及職業教育法｣第24條規定，高級中等以下學校師資生職前教育課程必修職業教育與訓練相關科目，以培養師資生瞭解職業試探教育、職業準備教育、職業繼續教育、技職校院群科發展、及職業訓練機構的角色與功能，並具備相關之基本知能，俾使各級各類教師，能在教學過程中適時融入技職教育的觀念，輔導學生建立正確的職業價值觀及工作態度，並能協助學生適性揚才，以促進人力資源的有效運用，增進國家的積極建設及社會發展。
