課程概述
為因應教育部高教深耕計畫所推動的創新教學政策,及台南市政府為推動英語作為第二官方語的政策,使英語學習生活化,並提高學生英語學習動機,本課程採走讀式教學模式,培養學生以英文介紹台南在地歷史、文化、美食等的能力。本課程採用台南市政府所製作的《HOT Tainan 哈臺南》英語節目為教材,使學生能夠習得日常生活單字並透過英文認識多元的台南。
To cope within the framework of the Higher Education Sprout Project by the Ministry of Education (MOE) as well as the policy of English as the second official language by Tainan City government, this course adopts learning by traveling strategy to make English learning connected to students’ daily life and cultivate students’ ability to introduce local history, culture and delicacies of Tainan. The classes were designed based on the “Hot Tainan” video clips released by Tainan city government, which enables students to acquire English words in daily life and get to know diverse Tainan through learning English
課程目標
課程大綱
本課程將分兩部分進行,前半部分以增進學生的聽力、發音及字彙能力為主。學生須在上課前先自行觀看哈台南影片,在上課中以分組方式聽寫教師所播放的影片內容。後半部分以增進學生英語口語表達及現場導覽能力為主,學生將走出教室,以英文在現場導覽課程中所介紹的觀光景點,導覽過程將全程錄影。影片可做為學生的學習成果及學習歷程檔案之用。

學生任務:
1. 學生須在上課前先觀看哈台南影片
2. 以小組為單位,觀看導覽影片並聽寫影片內容
3. 以小組為單位簡述影片內容並練習導覽
4. 每位小組成員到實地做導覽,並對同學的導覽提問及做回應

1. 培養人文素養和提升對台南當地文化的認知
2. 訓練英語聽寫及口語表達能力
3. 訓練英語正確的發音與語調
4. 培養英語導覽能力
5. 培養英語溝通及簡報能力
英文大綱
The course consists of two parts. The first part focuses on enhancing students’ listening ability, pronunciation and vocabulary. Students have to watch the assigned video clips of Hot Tainan in advance before the class. In class, they are divided in groups and fill in the missing words in the video scripts while watching the same video clips of Hot Tainan. The other part focuses on real performance; that is, students will go out of the classroom to the scenic attractions which were toured in the classes via Hot Tainan video clips. They are going to actually introduce the attractions in English. The whole process of students’ performances will be videotaped for the purpose of summarizing learning effects and making learning portfolios.

Students’ tasks:
1. Students have to watch the assigned videos at home before class.
2. As a group, students have to watch the video clips in class and fill in the missing words to reproduce the script.
3. As a group, students have to summarize the features of the selected episodes.
4. Each student in the group has to give an English tour on the spot, asks
questions and makes responses.
