This course introduces the fundamentals of the finite element method (FEM) and its application to the engineering problems. The relevant software packages will also be included.

The basic concepts, models, analyses and relevant software packages of the finite element method are presented so that the students may have a basic knowledge of the theory and applications of the FEM.
