This class will give students the tools they need to speak at length on a variety of topics. These tools include the vocabulary, strategies and structures to speak one’s opinion, as well as conversation strategies for participating in a conversation of depth.

Classes will first focus on the vocabulary needed to express opinions of varying degrees and nuances, as well as agreeing and disagreeing. Students will be given much practice expressing their opinions and discussing topics with partners.

Classes will then focus on strategies for organizing thoughts, ideas and opinions when asked to speak at length about a topic or issue. Students will be given ample practice answering timed questions as found on the IELTS and TOEFL exams.

The final classes will focus on conversation skills and strategies, and how to stay engaged in a conversation of depth.
