本課程主要介紹優生保健的觀念，涵蓋遺傳學的介紹、孕期保健、產前檢查與遺傳性疾病診斷、生育節育、新生兒篩檢、先天性缺陷及探討遺傳諮詢的技巧，期望同學在學習本課程後，對於優生保健的重要性有更深的體認。
嬰幼兒期是各方面發展的關鍵時期，此部份課程旨在提供同學有關嬰幼兒在生理動作、認知能力、語言溝通、及社會情緒發展等方面重要的資訊，以便未來可以多使用同理心的方式，真正地幫助孩子發揮潛能。
