柯謙君老師:
Practice in a range of speaking skills to increase communicative competence and accuracy in language.
Covering familiar and non-familiar topics in dialogues and group discussions.
Individual and group projects for class presentations
Simple role plays
The general aim is to help students to be able to:
speak clearly to be heard and understood using appropriate clarity, speed and phrasing; use formal language and register when appropriate; make requests and ask questions to obtain information in familiar and unfamiliar contexts; express clearly statements of fact and give short explanations, accounts and descriptions; make contributions to discussions that are relevant to the subject; make brief oral presentations in class (~3 min)

Group role plays: Reenact extracts of TV shows, simple sketches
Individual presentations: Informative presentation
Speaking topics: Wider range of topics, both familiar and unfamiliar.
Speaking functions: Formal and informal language, Expressing Opinions, Justifying opinions
