This course addresses ethical issues that challenge today's business and academic organizations. It is important for us to recognize when an ethical problem arises, as well as to make sound decisions in situations of moral conflict; and courage to do what we know is right even when there are strong pressures or incentives to do otherwise. Hence, the primary contents of this course are: 1) to introduce theories of ethics; 2) to explain the ethical principles of business and academic organizations; 3) to introduce the concepts of “Gender Equality” and “Feminism” in the workplace; 4) to explain “Information Ethics” and “Intellectual Property Rights”; 5) to discuss the cases of ethical conflicts in the workplace, and to practice how to use the strategies to solve the problems.
