本課程以黃盟傑著作之《解密爵士流行和聲 Jazz Voicings》（ISBN:978-957-43-2730-0）做為課程內容基礎，並以流行音樂為範例。以不同章節之進度，引導學生解析、組成、運用多樣的流行音樂和聲變化，並讓學生以樂器獨奏或合奏方式，實際感受聲響結果，進而培養流行音樂和聲進行之概念。
