「綜合活動」學習領域之「綜合」是指萬事萬物中自然涵融的各類知識，「活動」是指兼具心智與行為運作的活動，一個人對所知的萬事萬物要產生更深入的認識，需透過實踐、體驗與省思，建構內化的意義。本領域是為落實此一教育理念而設置的學習領域。
