課程概述
本課程有兩個主要目標:A. 介紹國內外目前在教室內或教材上有關之英語講的教材與教法。B.有系統地引介對於英語聽與講的相關研究。在教學法或教材方面,我們將著重在溝通式教學法(Communicative Approach),並檢討過去教學方法上的缺失。在研究文獻上,著重對比分析,偏誤分析,共通標示理論,及SLM(口語學習模式speech learning model)等相關之研究方法及理論。整體目標是訓練出能聚合理論與實務,研究與教學均衡的學生。
課程目標
1.引導學生瞭解與掌握一次大看以來之英語口語及聽力方面之課程。
2.瞭解聽講教學法(Audiolingual Approach)對於聽與講在教學方面的影響。
3.引介學生步入相關研究之文獻背景。
4.導讀相關之研究文獻,特重於對比分析,偏誤分析,共通標示理論,SLM

b. 默示機學法 (Silent way)
c. TPR (total physical response)
d. 溝通式教學法
e. 最近之相關發展,以TESOL Quarterly之論文為對象
有關教學研究文獻方面,將介紹:
a.對比分析,偏誤分析及其最近的發展
b.共通標示理論
c.SLM(口語學習模式speech learning model)
d.ASM (Assimilation sound Model)
e.聲學研究的啟示(implications from acoustic studies)
英文大綱
The goal of this course is twofold. On the one hand, we would like to emphasize the nature and essence of English listening and speaking. It would be treated as two sides of a coin, which means that there is no essential separation, as was in the traditional courses or textbooks, of listening and speaking. The other goal is to introduce the related literature about the studies on English listening and speaking. Explicit listening strategies would be stronglyemphasized, and the empirical studies in this area are also introduced. As for the speaking part, teaching methodology developed since the beginning of Contrastive Analysis, Error Analysis, Universal Markedness, and Speech Learning Model would be reviewed and introduced.
